Documentary Lemonade Stories to Air on CNNfn
CNNfn will present a special airing of the documentary, Lemonade Stories, on Friday, May 7, at 9 p.m. (ET). The documentary, by award-winning filmmaker Mary Mazzio, profiles some of the nation’s leading entrepreneurs by paying tribute to their mothers. The entrepreneurs profiled include Richard Branson (Virgin), Arthur Blank (Home Depot and the Atlanta Falcons) and Russell Simmons (Def Jam).
In the
documentary, the entrepreneurs share the secrets of their success and talk about
their mothers, whom they credit with
igniting their
entrepreneurial spirit. Branson’s sense of risk-taking, for example, emerged
from the life and example of his mother, Eve, a pilot and WWII veteran.
Blank’s vision of Home Depot was inspired by the example of his mother, a widow
with no business experience who took over and ran a family business with
enormous success.
